As the title goes, this is the first ever post about me on the blog.
been wanting and desiring to create one for the longest time but still fail to do it. huh..
anyway, as this is one of the requirement for this class,
HERE I AM ...
I am Nur Ellyanie Mohd Isa and living in Shah Alam. frankly speaking, Shah Alam is my place because i grew up here and never left.
I am 22 years old and looking forward for this semester as it is approaching to an end.
I would rate myself as a geek when it comes to computer skills because my knowledge about computer is just in the middle. I am not great using the technology but still I am not too lousy and know how to use it based on my observation with others.
in short, I can say that I learn about computer and technology just to fulfil the necessity of not being left behind. Therefore with intermediate level of knowledge in technology and computer, I hope I can get along and at least understand the language of technology.
Since I am not that expert in computer skills, therefore I have very limited skill and knowledge in using software like adobe photoshop.
I have experienced learning via the computer as in online learning. I experienced it back then when I was at secondary school when my teacher tried to make the learning experince more fun. There were 2 classes that used the computer and advanced technology, English and History.
In my opinion as a future teacher, it is important and crucial for teachers to incorporate technology in the lessons especially language teaching. This is because students nowadays are more advanced in technology because they are the new generations that make full use of the technology in their lives. A teacher has to be one step forward to initiate the lesson in becoming more meaningful and exciting. Therefore, the use of computer and technology in language teaching can be very helpful and at the same time be a source of various language exposure.
My expectation in this course will be to be able to grab as much knowledge as i can in order to help me improve my teaching skills. Furthermore, as next semester will be my first time to teach real secondary students, I wish I can at least use the knowledge and experience from this class to create a different and unique learning experience for my future students.
